1. Who we are
Khuli Kitab (“Khuli Kitab”, “we”, “us”) provides an online canvas and book-creation tool that lets you sketch, design, collaborate on, and publish illustrated books. This policy applies to our website and editor (the “Service”).
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details - your email address and authentication credentials when you sign up or sign in.
- Content you create - projects, canvases, pages, text, uploaded images, thumbnails, and any other material you add to the Service.
- Collaboration data - invites you send, collaborators you add, and their roles.
- Billing information - if you subscribe to Pro or buy a Book Pass, your payment is processed by Razorpay. Razorpay collects your payment details directly; we receive only limited information such as your subscription and payment status. We do not store your full card or bank details.

Information from integrations
If you connect Google Drive, we access only the permissions you grant in order to save or import the files you choose. We do not read your entire Drive, and you can disconnect the integration at any time.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To store and sync your projects across your devices and collaborators.
- To enable real-time collaboration, sharing, and invitations.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To respond to support requests and communicate important updates.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited cases:
- With collaborators you choose - people you invite to a project can see and edit that project.
- Service providers - we use trusted providers to run the Service, including Supabase (database, authentication, storage), Razorpay (payment processing), Google Analytics (usage analytics, with your consent), and Google (for the optional Drive integration). They process data on our behalf under their own policies.
- Legal reasons - when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Khuli Kitab and its users.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete a project it is removed from our active systems; if you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures - including encryption in transit and row-level access controls - to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
8. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you.
